Tsenta review: a review card with a star rating under a magnifying glass

Key takeaways

  • Tsenta is a Y Combinator-backed AI job application agent that watches 50,000+ company career pages, tailors your resume and cover letter, applies for you, and tracks recruiter replies.
  • It starts free with 25 applications and no card, then costs $19, $39 or $99 a month for 600, 1,500 or 4,500 applications every 30 days. Only successful submissions count against your allowance.
  • In my test, the top matches scored 74% to 75%, filters covered visa sponsorship, degree level and experience, and the hands-off Auto Apply page prompted an upgrade to the Power plan.
  • Users praise the convenience but report issues with AI resume formatting and lost hyperlinks, so review what it generates before it's sent.
  • If you want fresh jobs from 247,000+ career sites with a resume tailored to each application and your approval before anything is sent, HiringNow is an alternative with 10 free auto-applies.
On this page

Looking for a job is tiring: you go through different websites to find openings, update your resume, fill out application forms, and track your submissions. 88% of employers agree that qualified candidates are screened out because they don't match the exact criteria in a job description, according to Harvard Business School. And the average unemployed person in the US has been out of work for about 25 weeks, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (September 2026).

Tsenta is an AI job application agent that automates these tasks, from finding matching jobs to submitting and tracking applications.

I tested Tsenta to see how well its AI job matching, resume and cover letter tailoring, auto-apply, and application tracking work. I also looked at its pricing, supported platforms, user feedback, and limitations.

If you're wondering whether Tsenta is right for your job search, this review covers what it does, how it works, how much it costs, and whether its automation is worth it.

What is Tsenta?

Tsenta is an AI job application agent that finds jobs, tailors your applications, applies, and tracks your progress. It matches jobs to your resume and preferences, then prepares and submits job-specific resumes and cover letters through supported applicant tracking systems (ATS), including Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby. It's backed by Y Combinator.

According to Tsenta, it watches 50,000+ company career pages, which makes it useful if you apply to many jobs and want to save time.

The Tsenta homepage: "Be the first to apply to every job that fits you. Hands off."

How does Tsenta work?

Tsenta matches your profile with relevant openings, prepares and submits your applications, and tracks their progress. First, you enter your details after signing up. Then, based on your preferences, Tsenta finds relevant jobs and prepares your application. After it's sent, you can check the status and contents of each submission.

Features I tested

Its main features are AI job matching, resume and cover letter tailoring, auto-apply, application tracking, and several ways to use the platform.

AI job matching

Tsenta uses your resume, preferences, and job goals to find jobs that match your profile, so you don't have to search different companies' career pages yourself.

In my test, the dashboard showed my top five matches, each with a match score of 74% to 75%, and an "Apply to all 5" button. The filters go beyond the usual title and location: you can filter by visa sponsorship, degree level, maximum experience, workplace, and job type, and exclude jobs that mention specific words.

Tsenta's dashboard with filters for location, workplace, degree level, max experience and visa sponsorship, 22 applications left on the free plan, and top job matches scored 74% to 75%

Resume and cover letter tailoring

Tsenta tailors your resume and cover letter to a specific job description, so you don't send the same resume and cover letter to every job.

This saves time, especially if you apply to many jobs, but it's important to double-check your application before it's submitted. Tsenta says every change is shown to you rather than sent silently.

Auto-apply

Tsenta automates the application process on supported platforms. It fills in your details and submits applications, so you don't have to repeat the same information for every job.

The Auto Apply page lets you set filters once and keep it working on its own, with "lanes" for different kinds of roles and a shared daily cap. In my test, it showed 1 of 5 lanes active and a cap of 10 applications a day, and it prompted me to upgrade to the Power plan, saying Tsenta "could already be applying to 13 jobs." By the time I took these screenshots, my free allowance had gone from 25 to 22 applications.

Chrome extension

Tsenta's Chrome extension detects job postings and fills in application forms while you browse. If you find a job on a company's career page, it makes it easier to start the application without switching between tools.

Application tracking

Tsenta organizes your applications and tracks their progress, so you don't need a separate spreadsheet. This becomes more useful as the number of applications grows.

Email and recruiter response tracking

Tsenta can connect recruiter replies to the applications you've submitted and update their status, so you don't have to search your inbox for individual company emails. Connecting your inbox is optional.

iMessage and WhatsApp

You can also use Tsenta through iMessage and WhatsApp, for example to reply "yes" to a match to apply. This is useful if you want to check jobs or manage parts of your search without opening the dashboard.

MCP and CLI

Tsenta supports MCP and a command-line tool (CLI) for connecting it to AI tools such as Claude Code. This is aimed at technical users rather than a typical job search.

AI chat assistant

Tsenta's AI chat assistant answers questions and takes actions for you. Instead of browsing every part of the dashboard, you can ask it to find relevant jobs, explain what Auto Apply would do, and help with your applications. It makes the job search feel more conversational.

My overall experience with Tsenta

Tsenta brings job matching, resume tailoring, auto-apply, and application tracking together in one place. These features cut repetitive work, particularly if you apply to many jobs.

The matching and tailoring features find relevant openings and create more targeted applications. Auto-apply and tracking simplify the process further, and the chat assistant and messaging options give you more ways to manage your search.

The main limitation is that automation still needs supervision. Matches aren't always right, and some applications need manual input. Reviewing your resume and application details before submission is still important.

Overall, Tsenta is a useful option if you want to apply to many jobs and cut repetitive tasks. Still, it's an assistant rather than a fully hands-off job search.

How much does Tsenta cost?

Tsenta gives you 25 free applications, followed by three paid plans: Starter, Pro, and Power. Each plan includes the full product; the difference is the number of applications in each 30-day cycle.

PlanMonthlyApplications
Free$025 total
Starter$19/month600 every 30 days
Pro$39/month1,500 every 30 days
Power$99/month4,500 every 30 days

The free plan doesn't need a credit card, so it's a good way to try the platform before paying. Tsenta says only a successful submission counts against your allowance: skipped matches, unapproved drafts, and failures on the employer's side are refunded. Quarterly and annual billing lower the effective monthly price by up to 36%, according to Tsenta's pricing page.

Is Tsenta's paid plan worth it?

If you only apply occasionally, the free plan is enough to test the platform. The paid plans are for people who send more applications in each 30-day cycle. Quarterly and annual billing reduce the overall cost compared with paying monthly.

Where does Tsenta fall short?

  • Job match accuracy: Some recommended jobs may not match your skills, experience, or career goals.
  • Manual steps remain: Some applications still need manual input, especially when they include specific questions or steps the ATS integration doesn't support.
  • AI accuracy: AI-generated resumes, cover letters, and application answers should be reviewed before submission.
  • Pricing: The higher limits may not be necessary if you apply to only a few jobs a month.
  • No guaranteed results: Tsenta automates submissions, but it doesn't guarantee interviews or job offers.
  • Still evolving: Tsenta keeps adding ATS support and releasing updates, so the experience can change.

Tsenta ratings and user reviews

Tsenta has no page on Trustpilot, G2, or Capterra, so there isn't enough independent review volume yet to establish a reliable overall rating. The ratings above were checked in October 2026.

What is the best alternative to Tsenta?

HiringNow is an alternative to Tsenta if you want to apply early to fresh jobs with a resume tailored to each one. It monitors 247,000+ company career sites every 5 minutes, tailors your resume and cover letter to each application on every plan, and applies only after your approval, or in advance by rules you set. You can start with 10 free auto-applies and no card, and paid plans start at $29 a month.

The main difference is volume versus reach. Tsenta offers up to 4,500 applications every 30 days, while HiringNow's highest plan allows up to 1,000 auto-applies a month but covers more career sites and checks them every 5 minutes, so you can apply soon after a job is posted.
